About your role and responsibilities

We are currently hiring an SRE Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and scalability of the application. Help the businesses keep the application running smoothly, even under high-traffic conditions.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

• Design and implement the architecture of the next generation of automated infrastructure following the Infrastructure as a Code model.
• Build and maintain container native CI/CD pipelines.
• Build tools and automation to improve the system's observability, availability, and reliability.
• Design & Implement observability stack for the infrastructure - System/Application alerts /Security controls/Cost.
• Practice sustainable incident response as well as participate in blameless postmortems.
• Envision, implement, and roll out the best DevOps tooling and automation for all of our services.
• Mentor other engineers, define our technical culture, and help build a fast-growing team.

About you:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps roles.
• Strong experience in maintaining Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Practical knowledge of RedHat OpenShift.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and container orchestration tools - Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm etc.
• Good understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices.
• Knowledge of any one of - Python, Shell, Go, or Java.
• Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills.
• Deep working knowledge of Linux servers and networking.
• Experience with monitoring/logging solutions like DataDog, ELK, and Prometheus.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools like Gitlab CI/Argo workflow/Argo CD.
• Experience with modern cloud development practices (microservices architectures, REST interfaces, etc. ).
• Experience in managing distributed systems like Kafka/Scylla/Cassandra etc.
• Always ready to learn more and adopt new cutting-edge technology with the right value proposition.
• Success at Tungsten demands demonstrable cultural traits such as being a fast learner, Adaptable to changing landscapes, and most importantly a strong believer in being hands-on.

Bonus points if you have:

• Strong background in Linux Administration
• Proficient level experience scripting with Python, PHP, and shell
• Experience with monitoring and designing alerts for operations and applications.
• Experience with RDS database solutions from an operations perspective.
• Fundamental understanding of web architecture and application development.
