Job Overview

Ultra is looking for a Data developer to join our growing team. This is an exciting project that will involve challenging problem solving and collaboration in designing a data-centric blockchain product.

As a member of the Data team, you will work on our data platform's every aspect, and deploy and follow components from dev to production. You will participate in Ultra's data governance strategy. You will help us gather and process relevant data to drive all your stakeholders' decisions.

Your Profile

You are committed to using your technical skills to build a solid platform and deliver the right data to your stakeholders. You enjoy learning new and emerging technologies. You are proactive, a team player, you have an analytical mind and good attention to detail. You are a problem-solver, critical thinker and a good communicator.

Key Requirements

5+ years of software development experience
2+ years experience working with Scala
Experience with:Apache Spark, MOM (Kafka / RabbitMQ / Pulsar)
Professional experience with server-side Java or Scala
Experience in SQL
Teamwork mindset, and great communication skills
Previous experience in collaboration/sync with several teams
Fluent in English

It's great if you also have:

Previous experience with operating an application in production
Experience with Python
You have worked with data scientists
Previous experience with a cloud provider
Experience working in a distributed team
Experience working in Agile / Scrum methodology

What you will do:

Your challenges
Ultra could be considered as a multitude of smaller sub-projects, each having its own team leader. Your ability to provide insightful data and reporting will help define Ultra's business and development strategy.
You will work with Ultra staff and entities all around the world, and collaborating with them remotely will be part of your daily routine.
