Job Overview

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager, Lending will work with various cross-functional teams within Anchorage Digital to build scalable accounting processes and controls for our rapidly growing lending business.

In this role you will:

Lead the development of scalable and automated financial/operational processes and controls to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting for the Companyâ€™s lending business, including monitoring and reviewing transactions on the blockchain related to crypto lending
Identify areas for process improvement and execute on recommended changes.
Manage accounting staff through all aspects of the month-end close process related to lending/financing products and review monthly lending/financing accounting entries and reconciliations to ensure all lending transactions are recorded accurately and in line with GAAP requirements.
Proactively develop relationships and work with the lending, sales, operations, legal and other departments to understand new activities planned for the lending business
Partner with internal stakeholders to develop policies and controls for monitoring and reviewing transactions on the blockchain related to crypto lending
Collaborate with the lending and engineering teams to develop and implement a loan management system that can be used as the source of truth for accounting entries
Design, build, and implement monthly reporting processes and systems for the lending business, including analysis of business drivers

You may be a fit for this role if you have:

6+ years progressive accounting experience with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience in the fintech/financial services industries.
Experience accounting for financing/lending products.
Intellectual curiosity and an ability to work independently to resolve situations to time sensitive issues
A team player attitude and are highly responsive to internal and external requests
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability delivering accurate information on a timely basis
Strong analytical, business partnering, problem solving and prioritization skills, as well as communication and interpersonal skills
A combination of the following: creative, ambitious, detail-oriented, hardworking, trustworthy, eager to learn, action-oriented, and tenacious

Although not a requirement, bonus points if:

You've kept up to date with the proliferation of blockchain and crypto innovations
