We are looking for a multi-talented individual who will be responsible for creating / maintaining technical documentation related to the core components of Dash and working hand in hand with our R&D department. You will be part of the documentation team in our open source, agile environment to aid in communicating technical information to audiences inside and outside the organization. You will work closely with both our research team and engineers/developers to ensure that the documentation is accurate, understandable, and comprehensive. Some aspects of this opportunity are highly technical so experience reading and understanding source code is required as well as an ability to understand the overarching concepts presented in design and research papers.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and update high quality documentation including technical/architecture documentation, technical support documentation for key aspects of our system, API references, and developer documentation
• Create, develop, and design public-facing written content and documentation to enhance the experience for our community of developers and users
• Proactively identify gaps in documentation and collaborate with the documentation team to resolve them
• Write documentation for new products or features after experimenting with them and learning from the development team
• Ensure technical information on the website, documentation and individual repo readme files is accurate and up-to-date through constant testing and close collaboration with developers
• Run livestreams and recordings demonstrating step-by-step walkthroughs of technical tasks
• Provide community support when attempting to duplicate these technical tasks
• Write user-oriented blog posts and guest content on relevant technical media outlets, run AMAs, etc.
• Review and edit content created by others for technical accuracy and clarity

• Design, produce, and update user guides, video tutorials, and FAQs
• Organize information created by development teams to improve cross-team knowledge sharing

Experience & skills

Critical experience & skills

• 3+ years experience working on software documentation, ideally in the blockchain space
• Exceptional English writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Experience working with source code, using Github, and contributing to open-source projects
• Previous development experience in any language (preferably PHP)
• Proficient with markup languages such as Markdown and reStructuredText
